This Privacy Policy explains how MORIM LTD ("MORIM Compass", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use this service.
Who we are
MORIM Compass is operated by MORIM LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16885847. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at info@morim.co.uk.
What we collect
Account details you provide when you register (your email address and a password, which we store only as a one-way cryptographic hash - we never store or see your plain-text password). Profile information you choose to add, such as your country, education and career stage, career interests, and development goals. Your assessment responses, challenge submissions, reflections, and any evidence or portfolio notes you add - all of this is content you create while using the service. We do not currently collect payment information, government identifiers, or any data through third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use it
We use your data to operate your account, run your competency assessment, generate your development pathway and challenge recommendations, and let you track your own progress over time. If you tick the marketing consent checkbox on your profile, we may in future contact you about MORIM Compass updates - we do not currently send any marketing communications, and ticking the box does not sign you up to anything active today.
Who can see your data
Your profile, assessment results, and portfolio are visible only to you. As of this version of MORIM Compass (Phase 1), we do not share your data with any employer, educational institution, or sponsor - that kind of sharing, if ever introduced, would be a distinct future feature you would need to separately opt into.
Security
Passwords are hashed using Argon2id before storage; we never store passwords in plain text. Your data is stored in Cloudflare's D1 database infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect your information.
Your rights
You can review and update most of your profile information directly from the Profile & Account page at any time. You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, by emailing info@morim.co.uk - we handle these requests manually while this remains a Phase 1 pilot.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to remember your language preference (English or French). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MORIM Compass develops. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
